MyrtleBeachTime are hosting a number of amateur golf tournaments in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA throughout 2010. Over the years we have been on many golfing holidays in Europe, including golfing tournaments. However, for the last 6 or 7 years we have been traveling solely to Myrtle Beach, for our regular fix of "golfing fun in the sun"! As we love the thrill and sociability of the amateur golf tournament, we want to introduce Myrtle Beach to you as an exciting tournament destination.
Legends Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
What a golfing town! The coast of Myrtle Beach is known locally as the Grand Strand. Along the coastal area there are around 100 fabulous courses to try - public to semi-private - and from our experience of playing about half of them across the price range, they're all grrreat!
However, every time we're in town we'll always play the three courses at the Legends Resort, Heathland, Moorland and Parkland as well as their three sister courses dotted along the Grand Strand - Oyster Bay, Heritage Plantation and the TPC of Myrtle Beach, which always provide us with very different challenges. Now it's time for you to experience these 6 fabulous courses during 2 weeks of tournament play and this will still leave you with enough free time to sample other delights that Myrtle Beach has to offer.
On site at the Legends Resort, the main clubhouse offers a buffet breakfast each morning and serves a wide range of lunches and snacks. There is also a Scottish themed pub in the accommodation complex, together with swimming pools and tennis courts. Additionally, there is a large grass driving range, exceptional short game practice facilities and a golf school if required.
